The Reason 9: Strike a Match
Science started out better than English, considering Mr. Ohtani didn't raise a fuss when Koharu entered the room five minutes after the bell rang. He just nodded when she flashed the note and motioned her to sit in the empty seat next to a Ra - one from Sho's study group, she recalled. An Obelisk did laugh at Koharu being a Slifer, to which Mr. Ohtani asked him what was so funny. "Girls aren't in Slifer, it's weird," the Obelisk replied. "And you know what else is weird, one in twenty people will have an extra rib, do you want me to discuss why that's actually normal?" The Obelisk blinked at the calm retort while a handful of students snickered (a few other had confused looks - including Koharu herself - because yeah the comeback was unique but definitely strange). Then Mr. Ohtani said that rude comments should be kept to oneself and he would only accept interruption via raised hand before continuing on about the syllabus. Overall, Science went well, but Koharu still left class
